Final Report

As I was asked to interview a person aged above 45 years old I interviewed my brother who is 45 years old working as mechanical engineer and was a player in al Jazeera club in abudhabi . I asked him three question the first one was about the difference between sports now and before a days my second question was about what new sports are there that wasn’t there before and the third question was about what is the difference in leisure before and now a days. In my next paragraph am going to discuss the things I found out and the different concepts of sports and leisure between now and back then from the interview I did.

I asked the interviewee the difference between spots now and before he said that before sports was basically important in military existence to prove that they are fit and useful for army requirement. He also mentioned that the history of sport can teach us a great deal about social changes and about the nature of sport it self, and he said sports seems to involve development and exercise of basic human skills for their own sake an it shows how society has changed in their believe and change in rules . In my second question I asked what new sports are there that wasn’t there before and he mentioned a few types of sports that is unique some how such as yoga ball hit, calcio wrestling, alpha ball, world pong and ice soccer. In my third question I asked what is the difference between leisure before and now, he said that there is three primary types of leisure, leisure as time leisure as activity and leisure as state of mind, leisure as time is such as eating or sleeping  people before see that the leisure is some kind of spending their time in doing some exercise or cleaning their houses or house keeping but now a days people see leisure as playing and making advantage of their free time like making exercise to make their body fit and he said it is better to know the real meaning of leisure so they can make advantage of it.

In conclusion there is a lot of difference in sport an leisure between before and now, and you can see from the interview that our big brothers fathers and grand fathers have a different type of thinking and a different concept of sport and leisure and we can learn from them more and more as we talk about those two things so we can pass it to the next generation of our kids in the future.

ePortfolio

At the begging of the semester we were asked to create an ePortfolio and every assessment we complete we had to upload. That helped us a lot because this way we can organize our thoughts and it helps us understand the outcomes easily. And that portfolio will always be their even if you are done with the course, and it helped us understanding the course learning outcomes and how are the outcomes related to each other.

The ePortfolio helped us improving our own learning experience as long as we depend on our own to upload all of your work and as we upload them you always make sure that it looks fine and nothing is wrong so you will start reading before uploading  and in the end of the course you will knowledge that you have done a lot through the semester and you have learnt a lot of things. So from now on am going to create an ePortfolio for each subject so that it can help me organize my thoughts, my ideas and my time so I can always keep it as a reference for my own and it will always stay their even when I graduate from the college.

How to be a successful leader

Reflection

What I’ve learned from this course is that good management is all about leadership; also in every field or area of expertise, being a good and successful leader is fundamental. For athletes, to be a successful leader he should have a perfect knowledge of the needs of athletes, gaining knowledge management skills helps them be good managers in their next career. Previously, I used to think that being a good leader is something that comes by nature, but now I know that it is something that can be taught and learnt.

Content:
Having a great sense of vision, execution of goals, and having the right people around you to aid in achieving your goal are some of the key characteristics n order to be a successful leader. -Leadership in sport is about the team captain. The good leader is the one who can pilot the evolution of his organization.

Like all individuals athletes face some challenges, knowing where to go and what to do after sport is a big challenge that faces them. In order to help with this issue networking and finding good mentors is suggested.

Developing a strategy to make a business in sport is significant. Stakeholders should be taken into account; they are people having an interest in your sport organization and usually the power to influence the sport organization. They may be within the sport organization or part of its micro level

To make a right strategy there are steps to follow, they include making a strategy, preparation, diagnosis, objectives, action plane and control and development.

The difference between the vision and mission is that vision is what the organization should achieve in the long run in perfect circumstances. While the mission is what the organization should realistically achieve in real conditions.
